Cup Series

Clay is the primordial muck of the earth as well as a valuable material in its most refined state. In a domestic setting one finds it in the form of fine china as well as in the form of utilitarian bathroom fixtures. As a material it mirrors my interest in objects of value and visual pleasure while also exposing the realities of everyday life. My porcelain work is slip cast and often altered after the initial casting.

Cup series, variable dimensions approximately- 8”x6”x5”each, porcelain, 2004-2006
